Courtney Stock

Courtney Stock (B. 1987, Malden, MA) lives and works in Boston, MA. In a new series of works, Stock weaves together strips of painted materials, resulting in textiles that are gestural and abstracted. In another series, she hand-dyes and sculpts fibers into shapes reminiscent of bodies or clouds. Both series of works have been exhibited recently at Praise Shadows Art Gallery, Brookline, MA; MassArt x SoWa Gallery, Boston, MA; the 301 Gallery, Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA; and the Forsberg Art Gallery, Longview, WA. 

Stock earned an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from San Francisco Art Institute, and a BA from Bowdoin College.
